Nominating Panel Submits Names of 3 Attorneys to Beshear

The Kentucky Workers' Compensation Nominating Commission has recommended three attorneys to Gov. Steve Beshear to fill the vacancy created by last month's death of state Workers' Compensation Board member Lawrence F. Smith.Smith, 70, died May 5. He was appointed by Beshear in January 2012 to serve through Jan. 4, 2016.The commission met on Monday and sent a letter to Beshear recommending Carla H.
