The New York State Workers' Compensation Board has launched an initiative to enforce compliance among insurers, self-insured employers and third-party administrators in response to complaints of chronic delays in initial payments to injured workers.
SWCB Chairman Robert Beloten announced in a bulletin Friday that the board will begin issuing sample monthly reports on the timely filing of notices, timely payments and notices of controversy during the second and third quarters of 2015.
