Mental Health Bill Passes Senate, Moves to House

A bill expanding mental health coverage to first responders who witness a death passed through the Connecticut Senate, but there are continued worries that it may not get through discussions in the House of Representatives, according to the news site The Day.  Senate Bill 593 was introduced in January and in a hearing at the end of the month, multiple representatives from firefighters and police unions testified in favor of the bill, saying it would “ameliorate some of the unfortunate changes made to the workers’ compensation law in 1993,” testified Sen.
