Farm Labor Contractors Plead Guilty to Premium Fraud

A father and son who operated a farm labor contracting firm pleaded guilty to concealing injuries, and to workers’ compensation premium fraud and tax evasion, the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office announced. Jamie Del Real, 61, and his son, Israel Del Real, 36, ran Del Real Produce Packing, which provided labor to pick and pack lettuce for growers in Monterey County and Yuma, Arizona.
