A fee increase for anesthesiology services provided to Utah injured workers will be short-lived.
The Industrial Accidents Division gave notice Thursday that the allowable charge for one 15-minute unit of anesthesiology was inadvertently increased to $65 in the annual update to its Medical Fee Standards rule.
“The amount agreed upon by the Medical Committee and approved by the Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council is $62,” said Industrial Accidents Division Director Ronald Dressler in a memorandum.
