The Kentucky Supreme Court last week disbarred an Owensboro attorney for continuing to practice law after his license had been suspended.
Thomas Steven Poteat was admitted to practice in 1980 and had his first brush with the Kentucky Bar Association Board of Governors in 1995. He received a private admonition for lying to a client about having refiled a civil case and then denying the incident when questioned by the KBA.
