Insurer Impairments Are Down, but Not Forgotten

Even though a new report shows that the flood of insurance company impairments seen in the early 2000s has now slowed to a trickle, one frequent contributor to workers’ comp insolvencies — large-deductible policies — is receiving continued attention from state regulators.
