The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation is seeking comments and feedback on proposed changes to its prescription drug formulary rules.
Proposed changes to the outpatient medication formulary would allow reimbursement for medically necessary antiretroviral drugs prescribed for treatment of human immunodeficiency virus and post-exposure treatment on an allowed claim.
The proposed update would also add antiretrovirals to the list of drugs that are exempt from the first-fill limitation on one drug per therapeutic class.
The BWC is accepting comments through Monday.
