The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted the owner of a Mexican restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina, for submitting false documents to make it appear that he had paid back wages to employees and lied to Department of Labor investigators about doing so.
Jose Jamie Villalpando, 47, was charged with one count of making a false statement and three counts of obstruction of proceedings before departments, according to a DOJ release.
