Industry observers said it's possible but not likely that college athletes would be able to receive workers' compensation benefits as a result of a decision from the nation's high court that held that the National Collegiate Athletic Association can't bar the athletes from receiving compensation. In a 9-0 vote, the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday ruled that NCAA student-athletes can receive modest payments and education-related benefits such as laptops, book stipends and paid internships, all things the NCAA had argued would negate students’ amateur status as athletes.&...
