DWC Issues Reminder on Closures Due to Furloughs

The Division of Workers' Compensation issued a reminder Thursday that it will be closed for business today as its employees take an unpaid day off to comply with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's furlough order.The Dec. 19 order requires employees of the division, which includes the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, to take the first and third of Friday of each month off.
