OSHA Fines Sawmill $125,000 for Not Fixing Previous Violations

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration fined a Texas sawmill $125,000 for 13 violations, including seven for failure to abate violations cited following an August 2013 inspection.Gillespie Lumber Ltd. in Nacogdoches continues to expose workers to dangerous and unguarded machines, the federal workplace safety agency said in a statement.Gillespie was cited in 2013 for exposed electrical hazards, failure to guard rotating parts, belts, pulleys, chains and other points of operation on machines.
