Commissioner Denise Engle, who was set to leave the Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Commission on or around the expiration of her term in August, will leave her post later this month, the commission said Thursday in a release.
Engle announced that her resignation will take effect May 27. She accepted an executive position with the insurance brokerage and risk management firm Arthur J. Gallagher and Co., fulfilling a previously stated wish to return to the private sector. She will remain in the Oklahoma City area, according to the release.
