Widow Time-Barred From Suing Contractor for Husband's Fatal Accident

The North Carolina Court of Appeals ruled that a worker’s widow was time-barred from proceeding with her negligence claims against the general contractor on the construction project where her husband sustained fatal injuries from a falling beam. Case: Bullard v. Prime Building Co., No. COA16-1279, 09/05/2017, unpublished. Facts: The Prime Building Co. hired Peak Steel as a subcontractor for a construction project in Wake County.
