New Rules Coming in Mediation and Hearing Procedures

The Tennessee Bureau of Workers’ Compensation will implement rule changes Nov. 30 under Chapter 0800-02-21, Mediation and Hearing Procedures. Among the major changes are responses to hearing requests. The party opposing a request for an expedited hearing must submit all documents, including affidavits, no later than 10 business days before the scheduled hearing. The previous rule was five days.
