Companies that produce subpoenas and collect records for California attorneys say the copy service fee schedule that went into effect today – which is intended to reduce disputes by limiting the items and services that can be billed individually – could actually have the opposite effect.
Copy shops are entitled to a flat fee of $180 for a set of records from a single source of up to 500 pages, and 10 cents for each additional page.
