Supreme Court Won't Review Dispute Over Remedy for Allegedly Defective UR

The California Supreme Court will not be reviewing a dispute over a worker’s remedy for alleged improprieties in the utilization review process. Earlier this year, the 3rd District Court of Appeal ruled that Daniel Ramirez would have to go through independent medical review if he wanted to challenge the validity of the UR determination as to his need for additional acupuncture treatments.
