Governor Announces Three Appellate Judge Nominations

California Gov. Jerry Brown appointed one justice to the 5th District Court of Appeal and two judges to the 4th District Court of Appeal. Kathleen A. Meehan of Fresno was named an associate justice of the 5th DCA. Meehan, 63, has been a judge at the Fresno County Superior Court since 2014, where she served as a commissioner from 2011 to 2014. She served as a deputy attorney general at the California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General from 2008 to 2011.
