Labor Agency Posts AB 5 Info Page; Second Complaint Challenges New Law

The California Labor and Workforce Development Agency launched a webpage to help employers and workers comply with the new employment test created by Assembly Bill 5 that is now the subject of two lawsuits asking federal judges to enjoin the state from enforcing the law. The labor agency’s website includes information about the ABC test required to determine whether a worker is an employee or contractor, starting Jan. 1.
