DOL to Hold Hearing on New Reporting Requirements for Serious Injuries

The New Hampshire Department of Labor will hold a public hearing Sept. 12 on new reporting requirements for serious injuries. In keeping with changes in the law that took effect this year, the department has proposed rules that would require that employers report within 24 hours any accidents that result in hospitalization of at least one employee. The current rule required the 24-hour notice only for serious injuries to three or more employees. New information would also be required for work site deaths.
