The New York State Workers' Compensation Board (SWCB) announced two deadlines last week for implementation of the medical treatment guidelines mandated by the state's 2007 workers' compensation reforms.The guidelines, which took effect last Dec. 1, impose optimum and maximum limits on treatment for injuries to the mid- and lower back, the neck, the knee and the shoulder.The board said in a regulatory posting Friday that carriers and self-insured employers must certify to SWCB Chairman Robert Beloten by April 1 that they have incorporated the guidelines into their policies, procedur...
