After hearing from stakeholders, the Kentucky Department of Workers' Claims has revised its medical treatment guidelines, giving insurers more time to respond but also granting doctors more say-so on medical treatment.
The department, which was required to devise the treatment guidelines by the workers' compensation reform bill, House Bill 2, passed in 2018, announced this week that it had amended the guidelines in several ways.
