Drobot, Feds Square Off Over Forfeiture Payments

Michael R. Drobot claims federal prosecutors overcharged him $25,000 on a forfeiture order because they refuse to give him credit for a civil settlement with Los Angeles County, and he wants his money back. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the younger Drobot shouldn’t get credit for a payment that his father made to settle a lawsuit, especially when his father is taking a credit against his own forfeiture order for the same payment.
