A New York City supermarket chain is facing $505,929 in proposed penalties after federal safety inspectors found blocked exit routes and other alleged hazards at three locations.
Trade Fair Supermarkets was issued citations for one serious and 10 repeat violations by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration on Sept. 29. The company intends to contest the citations before the independent Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
