Medical Network Rules for Self-Insurers Take Effect Friday

New rules that the Washington state Department of Labor and Industries says will ensure self-insured employers will notify their workers about how to access care within the newly created statewide provider network take effect on Friday.The rules amend Washington Administrative Code Section 296-15-330 addressing the requirements for self-insured employers when authorizing medical care.The amendments say self-insured employers must comply with the requirements of the health care provider network created by SB 5801 in 2011.
