The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has ordered a Kansas City railroad company to pay $12,000 in damages to an employee it allegedly disciplined for taking a doctor-ordered leave of absence.
The employee, a train conductor, went to a doctor because he felt ill on Nov. 18, according to a Tuesday press release from the administration.
