Oregon’s Management-Labor Advisory Committee will start preparing for the upcoming legislative session by reviewing a proposal that would modify minimum and maximum permanent disability benefits, during a Sept. 28 meeting.
Proposed changes to permanent total disability benefits would maintain a provision requiring workers to be paid 66.67% of their pre-injury wages. But it would increase the maximum benefit amount to 133% of the state’s average weekly wage from 100%. And it would increase the minimum benefit from $50 to 33% of the average wage paid in Oregon.
