Gov. Granholm Appoints Scott Wagner to Safety Board

Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm has appointed Scott Wagner of Northville to the Board of Health and Safety Compliance and Appeals for a term ending March 18, 2013.Wagner, the safety director with Barton Malow Co., was appointed to represent management in the construction industry.He succeeds Michael Carey, whose term has expired. The board reviews all contested Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) cases, including safety and health citations, orders, and appeals.The board may order testimony at hearings, compel witnesses or require depositions, and promulgate rules o...
