Networks Now Treating 50% of New Claims as Costs Fall

The percentage of new claims filed within Texas medical networks ticked up since last year and now represent exactly 50%. The cost of care in networks continued to decline and is now lower than non-network care, according to Network Report Cards released by the Division of Workers’ Compensation on Monday. Network care cost an average of $2,356, measured six months after injury, in report year 2018.
