Fractured Fingers Lead to $70K in Fines Against Manufacturer

A workplace accident led to an investigation by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration and $70,000 in proposed penalties against an Ohio manufacturer. OSHA said it dispatched its inspectors after a worker caught his hand in a pinch point as he operated a material coiler on March 26 at Materion Brush Inc. in Elmore. The accident fractured three of the workers' fingers on his right hand.
