Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont signed bills expanding coverage for post-traumatic stress disorder and requiring medical plans to include a way for injured workers to seek a determination of medical necessity for recommended services.
The governor on Monday signed SB 913, which allows all workers to file PTSD claims starting Jan. 1. The measure builds on a 2019 bill allowing first responders to file PTSD claims for specific incidents such as seeing a dead child or witnessing a traumatic physical injury.
