The Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation has adopted rules that ease record-keeping requirements for exempt corporate officers in the construction industry and reduces penalties against employers who fail to provide mandatory coverage.
The amendments to Rule 69L-5.015 and 69L-6.027 took effect on Tuesday, the DWC said in a notice Thursday. Both rules were implemented in response to legislation passed in 2016.
