Court Denies Potential for Tort Action to IRS Worker Denied Comp Remedy

The Utah Court of Appeals last week ruled that a federal government employee who had been denied workers' compensation benefits for her injuries from an accident involving a colleague could not assert a tort claim against her co-worker. Marjorie Ann Brown had worked for the Internal Revenue Service at an office in Ogden, Utah. The office and its adjacent parking lot were surrounded by a fence.
