Claimants' Attorney Disbarred Five Years After Complaint Was Filed

A longtime South Carolina workers' compensation and injury attorney has been disbarred after he failed to maintain trust accounts, according to the state bar and the state court system. Richard Wern, of North Charleston, had been a member of the South Carolina Bar since 1979. His firm's website shows that he and his firm, Wern Lawyers, has handled a range of claims and appeals in state workers' comp and in longshore and harbor workers' cases.
