Compensation Advisory Organization of Michigan President Jon Heikkinen will retire on Aug. 1, the group's managing partner wrote in a memo to members last month. Heikkinen spent his entire career at the company, joining the year after he graduated Central Michigan University and climbing the ladder over 42 years. He started as a risk classifier, answering phone calls and letters about workers' comp insurance pricing.
