Federal safety inspectors have proposed a $12,000 fine against an Omaha, Nebraska, moving company after a worker tasked with loading a semi trailer died from heat stroke on a hot day.
The heat index was 112 when the 49-year-old worker was packing items from a customer's house into a trailer on June 9, according to an inspection report from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
