Montana’s Labor Management Advisory Council will discuss legislative initiatives relating to claims examiner certifications, extraterritorial coverage options and a 90-day notice for closing medical benefits. A draft bill posted to the advisory council’s website would require carriers to notify injured workers 90 to 120 days before their medical benefits will be terminated, starting July 1, 2019.
