Southland Stands Out in Study of Cumulative Trauma Claims

Los Angeles Basin residents filed 51% of California’s workers’ comp cumulative trauma claims in 2005, a number that grew to 67% in 2013, according to new research from the California Workers’ Compensation Institute. Even though the percentage of CT claims grew in the Los Angeles area over the study period, the proportion of non-CT claims held steady in the region at about 37%, according to the report.
