A bill that would prohibit medical providers from seeking payment from both the state workers’ compensation system and the federal Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act survived its first committee hearing in the Virginia state legislature.
The Senate Commerce and Labor Committee voted 15-0 on Monday to approve Senate Bill 1729, by Thomas K. Norment Jr., R-Williamsburg.
