Harriman Man Faces Felony Charges for Collecting $27,000 in Excess Benefits

A Harriman man faces third-degree felony fraud charges for collecting $27,000 in excess workers’ compensation insurance benefits, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said. Trent Mitchell, 43, allegedly accepted the benefits while working full time in the Town of Montgomery from April 2011 to August 2012, according to Public Information Officer Capt. Scott K. Hamill.
