The board of directors of Hawaii Employers’ Mutual Insurance Co. has declared a $3.5 million dividend that will be paid to qualifying policyholders.
With this most recent dividend, HEMIC will have returned more than $38 million to businesses in Hawaii over the last 13 years.
Almost 80% of HEMIC policyholders will receive a dividend, which will average more than 8% of the businesses' annual premium, according to HEMIC Chief Executive Officer Martin Welch.
