A fertilizer manufacturer is facing up to $89,500 in proposed penalties after investigators from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited it for multiple safety violations, according to OSHA.
The Danville-based Lebanon Seaboard Corp., which was on OSHA’s Site Specific Targeting list for high-hazard industries, was cited for two repeated and six serious violations during a December inspection.
According to OSHA, violations included failing to protect workers from operating parts of machinery and exposing workers to fall hazards up to 8 feet and electrical safety concerns....
