Zenith National Insurance Corp. has extended the employment contract of its chairman and chief executive officer, Stanley R. Zax, an additional three years, to Dec. 31, 2012. Zax's original contract was valid through Dec. 31, 2009. Zenith alerted the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the amended agreement via an 8-K filing Monday. Zax's annual base compensation remains at $2.5 million, but the compensation committee can grant future compensation increases.
