The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has expanded its office at 1205 Texas Ave. in Lubbock from a district office to an area office.OSHA said in a release that it made the expansion to better serve the workplaces of a growing and diverse area. John Hermanson, OSHA’s regional administrator in Dallas, said the office would serve 70 counties in northwest Texas with a population of more than 1.1 million.
