Pharmacist Pleads Guilty in Kickback Scheme

A Texas pharmacist faces up to five years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of paying kickbacks for work comp patient referrals, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced. Nermin Awad El-Hadik, 40, pleaded guilty to a single count of paying kickbacks to induce a chiropractor to prescribe compound medications to patients covered by the federal Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs.
