The U.S. Department of Labor has named a longtime regional administrator as its new head of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Directorate of Construction, overseeing an industry that has come under increasing scrutiny because of worker injuries and illegal labor practices.
Scott Ketcham worked for 19 years as an OSHA deputy regional administrator, area director and compliance officer in Seattle, Dallas and Philadelphia, OSHA said in a news release. He has been deputy director at the directorate since early 2017.
