Task Force Finds 6 Postal Service Contractors Lacked Comp

A task force created by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation's Special Investigations Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General (USPS OIG), has uncovered workers’ compensation fraud at six businesses that have contracted with the Postal Service for the past two years, the bureau announced Thursday.The task force was created in 2009 to "address a trend among contractors of failing to maintain workers’ compensation coverage" despite being paid to do so by the Postal Service, the bureau reported.
