Average Monthly Wage Increases 2.1% for 2016

The maximum average monthly wage, which is used as a cap on the amount an injured worker can collect in indemnity benefits, is increasing 2.1% for injuries sustained on or after Jan. 1, 2016, the Arizona Industrial Commission announced. The maximum monthly wage for 2016 injuries will increase to $4,428.91 from $4,337.82. Injured workers are entitled to temporary disability indemnity benefits at 66.67% of their average monthly wage at the time of injury.
