Two Broward County men — one already serving time for workers' compensation fraud — pleaded guilty to conspiring to operate an unlicensed money transmitting business.
Yamil Sanjurjo Cordero, 33, and Sandro Mendoza Alvarado, 35, face up to five years in federal prison and fines of up to $250,000 during sentencing later this year.
Cordero was in state prison, with his release set for Jan. 31, 2017, at the time of his arrest in April, according to state Department of Corrections information.
