Amendment Proposed for Wage Loss Compensation Rule

The Ohio Industrial Commission and state Bureau of Workers’ Compensation will hold a public hearing May 12 on a proposed amendment to Rule 4125-1-01, Wage Loss Compensation. The proposed amendment would add language to two paragraphs: Paragraph (A)(8) would add “despite a good faith job search” to better define “non-working wage loss.” The words “claim related” are proposed additions to (E)(1)(c)(iv) to encompass potential limitations on the injured worker’s ability to make prospective employer contacts.
